building digital things in a digital world.(and sometimes analog things too)

i started taking photos to archive. growing up between ohio, texas, and korea, nothing stayed put for long, so i built a fortress of photographs instead: proof that i had belonged somewhere, even if i couldn't stay. somewhere along the way that changed. now i photograph to understand why a place that felt completely alien can suddenly feel warm. it's almost always a person that does it, even just a silhouette against a skyline or a hand in the corner of a frame.
